National Report EFY 2010 (2017-18)
The 2010 (2017-2018) EFY Ethiopian Maternal Death Surveillance and Response (MDSR) System Report marks the fifth year of the system’s implementation at national level. During this time, over 3000 maternal deaths have been identified, reviewed and reported into the national database, marking a tremendous achievement. The report offers both good practice examples and recommendations for how the health system can learn from MDSR data at different levels and use the evidence to avert future deaths.
National Report EFY 2009 (2016-17)

In the Ethiopian fiscal year (EFY) 2008 (2015-16), 633 maternal deaths were reported; this is 6% of the expected maternal deaths and an increase from 387 deaths between 2006 and 2007 EFY (2013-15).
